Carpinteria Community Resilience

The Carpinteria Community Resilience Committee was created to establish and enhance a region-wide network of community resilience hubs to provide critical services before, during and after disruptions and foster year-round community gathering spaces for social, cultural, and economic benefits. Girls Inc of Carpinteria (GIC) participated in the Collaborative's 2023 Resilience Hub pilot program. Through the pilot, GIC staff learned about emergency management protocols and identified opportunities to build capacity and secure resources for emergency response.

We strive to activate and improve our sites, increase accessibility during emergencies, and contribute to local community resilience in Carpinteria and the broader region through the Central Coast Resilience Hubs Network.
